Join Ouzel during our 29th year in business in Alaska, our 17th year in Kamchatka, Russia. Ouzel provides fully guided, week long rafting trips on scenic wilderness rivers in Alaska's National Parks, Wildlife Refuges and choice rivers of Kamchatka. Float trips create an opportunity for seeing wild country and access to fishing others cannot reach. The solitude and seclusion woven into your experience somehow changes your future perspective. Fourth generation outfitter and guide Paul Allred has 38 years experience guiding wilderness float fishing trips.
Expert Orvis Endorsed Guides, tasty meals, comfortable upscale camps and bush flights are all included. Bush flights are by helicopter, float plane or wheel plane. Comfortable rafts are rigged for fly fishers and maximum comfort. Excellent fishing for six species of Salmon, trophy Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char and Arctic Grayling. Beginning fisherman and families are encouraged and taught on our wilderness journeys. We fulfill experienced fly fisher's dreams! You'll love the dry fly action! Russia Ouzel Expeditions became the first western guide service to operate in Kamchatka in 1991. We were looking for great salmon runs but couldn't keep the gigantic Rainbow Trout off our hooks. No one complained and the rest is history. Today Kamchatka is famous for it's huge Rainbow Trout. Ouzel introduced catch and release angling to Kamchatka and the use of Russian helicopters to access it's beautiful rivers for fly fishing. Ed Exum caught the first Steelhead in Kamchatka on one of Ouzel's 1992 trips! Yvon Chounaird of Patgonia fame went along.
