North Bow Lodge - Calgary, Alberta, Canada

North Bow Lodge is the only full service vacation and fishing accommodations on the world renowned Bow River. The Lodge, located approximately 35 minutes southeast of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in one of the most scenic and relaxing areas east of the Rocky Mountains, affords avid fishermen with excellent sporting opportunities. Before or after your day of guided fishing you can maximize your fly fishing time by stepping outside the Lodge and finding one of many pristine fishing spots. At North Bow Lodge you will be able to fish from dawn until dark.

Your North Bow Lodge hosts, Stuart & Michele Wheeler will provide you with comfortable accommodations in the heart of some of the most beautiful surroundings you could ever find yourself in to fish. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but yet close enough not to have to worry about lack of amenities, in the event you have forgotten anything.

This beautiful tranquil area features the very best Southern Alberta has to offer. Besides the world-class fishing we have the grandeur of the rolling prairies under endless blue skies and the breathtaking beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Before a day of fishing take a quiet stroll over the property and marvel at the sheer beauty of this valley. You may see a variety of birds including the Canadian goose, bald or golden eagles soaring above the hillside. Other animals you may see while enjoying your time at North Bow Lodge include white-tail and mule deer, beaver, porcupine, partridge, pheasants, pelicans, gophers and coyote.

Our Guests are free to relax and unwind while enjoying the comforts of home. Enjoy your dining experience on the spacious 1200 square foot patio. Meals are home-style and will tantalize your taste buds with many local products…Alberta Grade ‘A’ Alberta beef and pork, locally grown fresh garden vegetables and fruits. Whether you are coming alone or as a member of a group the staff at the Lodge will make you feel like you’re at home.

The Lodge will accommodate up to 16 people based on double occupancy. With a minimum of 10 guests the place is your groups’ space exclusively. The upper floor includes our den, which has a wood-burning fireplace and looks out over the Bow River. There is a meeting room that can be converted into a recreational area for playing cards and games or a place to tie flies or God Forbid…hold a meeting. On the lower level is the dining area that looks out onto the Bow River. We also re-configure this room to suit your needs.

Your package includes for two people: airport pickup and return, accommodations, based on double occupancy, at the only full service Lodge on the banks of the lower Bow River, guided fishing from a McKenzie drift boat. All your meals and non-alcoholic beverages are provided from the time you arrive until you leave.

    Testimonials :

Good luck Stu & Michele—your hospitality is truly wonderful and it made our trip terrific even when the fish were not biting.

    ~R. Chandler, Atlanta, Georgia

Your lodge is headed for great success. We will look back one day and cherish the fact that we were among your very first guests. We look forward to seeing you next year and many years to come.

    ~ F & J Forman, Chattanooga, Tennessee

You have a great piece of the world around a jewel of a river. You made us feel right at home. See you next year.

    ~H. Catalano, Scituate, Massachusetts

Thanks so much for your generosity and hospitality! The Bow River and your Lodge are everything I thought they would be, and more. Floating with Stu in the pontoon boats was an excellent way to end my trip. Big fish and a very sore body! I plan on returning as soon as possible.
