The Lodge:
Torwood Lodge sits majestically perched high above the Peace Reach arm of Williston Lake, and is nestled in amongst our own private 300 acres of Aspen forest. Not another soul around for miles and miles, (thousands of square km in some directions); just the wildlife, the lake, the mountains, blue skies and northern lights. Non-extreme sports and guided activities, as well as great dining, good company and breathtaking scenery are the hallmarks of our Lodge.
Torwood has eight beautifully decorated suites within the lodge. For those who wish more private accommodations, you will find adjacent to the lodge and tucked in the Aspen forest, a beautiful two-bedroom Mountain Chalet. Made of logs and fully furnished, this chalet offers our guests two private bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a loft equipped with a hide-a-bed. A kitchen, living room with outside, wrap around deck, and a laundry room completes this beautiful 'home away from home'.
The main Lodge offers our guests for their use and enjoyment a sauna, a heated outdoor Jacuzzi, fitness and massage rooms. Laundry service is available upon request. A 'boot room' with clothing and gear-drying equipment is provided. The satellite television in the Great Room provides our guests with digital photo previewing capabilities. As well as a fully stocked bar, an incredible wrap-around deck welcomes those who wish to continue to 'drink' in the breathtaking beauty of the lake, the mountains or the 'Northern Lights' when they choose to perform their incredible light show.
Each of our rooms has free Internet access and all rooms have private bathrooms. We can accommodate sixteen guests in-house based on double occupancy, with four to six guests in the Chalet. Each morning a hearty breakfast is served in our dining room located in the main Lodge, and evening apre's-adventure snacks and a full three to four course dinner is served either in the dining room or outside on its wrap-around deck where you can enjoy your meal surround by a commanding view of the lake and nearby mountains.
Our bar offers its guests a fine selection of wines and carries a great selection of premium liquors as well as soft drinks and juices.
Our chef draws inspiration from all over the world, and our menu, like our guests, is an eclectic palette infused with international flavors: on day from Spain, one day from Italy, one day from France. For some it will be a 'home cooked meal'; for others it will be a new dining experience.
Lunches are served picnic-style either on mountain tops, along the banks of crisp, clear mountain streams nestled on the velvet floors of valley bottoms surrounded by flowers and overlooked by walls of mountains.
Special dietary needs are catered to upon request and with advance notice.
Coffee and tea are served all day long; juices and soft drinks upon request. Please note that all meals are subject to the availability of ingredients.
The Fishing:
Two & Four Day Northern Rockies Jet Boat Fishing Expedition
Based out of Torwood Lodge, a five star facility, four guests will have two days to explore and fish the many crystal clear mountain fed creeks and rivers in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Northern British columbia, Canada.
Our fully outfitted Jet Boats and expert Guides will glide you to world-renowned creeks and rivers to catch trophy Bull and Rainbow Trout, as well as Char (Lake Trout)... what a treat!
Don't forget your camera, as we will be floating through granite rock caverns, eroded by millions of years of run-off from the snow-covered mountaintops. When explored these caverns and rivers lead to pristine waterfalls, creeks and picture perfect picnic areas and of course, exclusive fishing hot spots.
At the end of each day we will make our way back to the seclusion of Torwood Lodge for a gourmet dinner, recount the days fishing tales around our fully licensed bar, and create memories with family and friends.

Peace-Omineca Jet Boat Fishing Expeditions- 4 days
This unique package allows our guests four days to fish and explore two completely different river systems and mountain valleys, both of which are a part of Williston Lakes watersheds.
Day One:Spend the first day on the east side of the Rocky Mountains fishing and exploring the Peace Arm's tributary creeks and rivers. The scenery as you cruise up the Peace Arm is breath taking. The dark grey granite mountain cliffs, some reaching 500 vertical feet, majestically tower over the lake. These steep cliffs and mountains are home to many species of birds and wildlife, so bring your binoculars and cameras.
Return home to your luxurious accommodations at Torwood Lodge where an internationally infused gourmet dinner awaits you. Gaze out over Williston Lake and the Rockies as you dine, reflecting on the day's adventures and who caught the biggest fish.
Day Two: Board our twin otter plane for a 20 minute scenic flight over the snow capped Rockies, Williston Lake and the Rocky Mountain Trench, landing at an airstrip just a few moments from the Omineca River.
Accompanied by a certified river fishing Guide, gourmet chef and on our jet boat, you will begin a river fishing adventure of a lifetime. Your Guide will lead you up the remote crystal clear waters of the Omineca River for a 2 day camping and fishing expedition. The fishing to be had in this river and its tributary creeks will prove to be spectacular and like no other freshwater fishing experience you have ever had!
We will camp on the riverbank in our comfortable, fully outfitted 'Pioneer Camp'.
Fresh air filled days, evening bonfires and star filled night skies will send you into a state of utter relaxation.
The river's shores are teaming with wildlife making for great photographic opportunities, and 'there's gold in them sands!' ...so bring a gold pan.
Day Four: Your group and guide will fish in the morning, then head back to your wilderness home at Torwood Lodge, where dinner awaits you. Relax that evening soaking in the outdoor hot tub or out on the wrap around deck discussing the weeks events and memories made to last a lifetime...

3 and 6 Day Heli-Fly Fishing Trips
Accompanied by your expert fly fishing guide, we will whisk you off to the remotest of lakes and untouched watersheds. Daily fishing expeditions to such rivers and streams as the Graham River, Bernard and Clearwater Creeks to name just a few, will provide you with the opportunity of hooking wild Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden (Bull Trout) or Arctic Grayling.....cast your flies into alpine lakes, some at elevations of 4,500 feet... accessible only by helicopter!
Inlets along the Peace Reach arm of Williston Lake have offered up to Rainbows as big as 24 inches and 18 pound Bull Trout... a truly unforgettable experience.
Lunch each day will be a picnic affair, nestled down on the banks of rivers, surrounded by the rugged peaks of the Rockies, or on a mountain top beside a crystal clear lake... you may even have guests while you eat as this is known as the 'Serengeti of the North' and herds of caribou are not an uncommon sight here. Grizzly and black bears forage through the berries down in the valleys, making for great lunchtime entertainment.
You will enjoy superb fly fishing in a small group atmosphere, luxury wilderness accommodations at Torwood Lodge and breathtaking scenery from July to September.
