Yan Kee Way Lodge is a great starting and ending point for any expedition to Chile and is a fascinating facility unto itself. Volcan Osorno, considered one of the most beautiful volcanic cones in the world, dominates the horizon in front of the lodge. The compound was carefully constructed over a five year period, with great attention to detail. Exposed, sandblasted post and beam construction throughout highlights beautiful local woods, black lava encrustations and old-world style craftsmanship.
The Lodge
Lodging is comprised of private chalets, bungalows and hotel style rooms. The 1,400 square foot chalets and bungalows are designed to accommodate groups of various sizes. Each building was carefully designed and constructed from beautiful local woods, in a style appreciative of local architecture yet incorporating many modern features, including central heating and details such as fluffy towels, bathrobes and goose down comforters, which are sure to please your family and friends. There are a numerous cozy spaces, throughout the compound, in which to relax and socialize. For those who wish to stay abreast of current global events, there is satellite television, telephone, fax communications, Internet service and e-mail in the reception and Lounge. If you wish to leave it all behind you can too.
The Dining
The Lodge features Latitude 42º Restaurant with excellent international cuisine. The 1,500 square foot kitchen was designed and constructed in the United States, disassembled, containerized and shipped to Chile. It is recognized as the best kitchen facility in the Patagonia, perhaps the whole of Chile.
For some, getting used to the quietness surrounding you may be a struggle. In the midst of lush trees and native vegetation, opening your window allows you to experience the fragrant, clean air and the seemingly orchestrated sounds of birds. You’ll gain a new appreciation of the night sky. You will see an incredible number of celestial objects, not to mention two galaxies and the Southern Cross which are not visible from much of the Northern Hemisphere. .
Activities
Once settled in, you may find it difficult to venture off the grounds. If you can drag yourself away, there are plenty of activities that await you: fishing, horseback riding, rafting biking, trekking, boating, sightseeing and shopping, just to name a few.
The Fishing
Fly-fishing expeditions for trophy Rainbows and Browns are offered in 8 day / 7 night packages. That results in 6 days of fly fishing. Fly fishing expedition packages are offered on a double occupancy basis. Fly-fishing guests are limited to a maximum of 8 persons. While providing you with more solitude, this policy also assures less fishing pressure on our trout and salmon populations. Catch and release fishing is practiced as is the use of barbless hooks. The lodge privately funds and staffs special patrols, both in and out of season, on the surrounding rivers and lakes to assure that fishing regulations are followed. In addition, several of their employees have been licensed as Fish Wardens with full powers of enforcing Chilean fishing regulations.
Packagaes
At Yan Kee Way, from the time you arrive at the lodge, until your departure flight home from there, all costs of food, lodging, ground, air transfers and, of course, guides and boats are included in your expedition package. Alcoholic beverages, other than complementary house wine with your meal, phone calls and faxes, while available, are at your expense and tips for guides and personnel are not included. Package rates are based on double occupancy with a personal fly-fishing guide for each 2 guests. Yan Kee Way guests will arrive at El Tepual Airport in Puerto Montt.

All rates are per person based on double occupancy. Rates are for land package prices and do not include your airfare to and from Puerto Montt, Chile. All rates are in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice.
PAYMENT: A nonrefundable deposit of 50% of the package price per person is required within seven days of booking. Full payment is due 120 days prior to travel. Bookings made 120 days or less prior to departure are due in full at time of booking.
