World renowned Hannibal Bank, Isla Montuosa, Isla Ladrones and the 1000 fathom drop are all a short run from Hooked on Panama Lodge.
The Lodge is located on Punta Burica about 17 kilometers south of the town of Puerto Armuelles in one of the most beautiful areas of Panama. The area boasts a wealth of wildlife including howler monkeys and a wide variety of tropical birds.
The Fishing:
Giant Yellowfin Tuna, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Cubera Snapper, Rooster Fish, and Dorado are all frequent vistors to the waters off Panama.
The top season for billfish is December - April, with the best months being January-March. Winter months tend to be better for billfish. The Giant Yellowfin Tuna are most frequent in the spring, with tuna over 200 lbs. being commonly caught between March and April.
The Accommodations:
The main lodge is 3000 sqaure feet and consists of the restaurant, bar and game room with pool and card tables. There is a large covered lanai so you can choose between outdoor or indoor dining.
Guest accommodations consist of 12 individual studio-sized cabins. All cabins are air-conditioned, with private covered lanais (decks) and just steps to the beach, pool, restaurant and bar.
Both the main lodge and cabins have tropical hardwood high beam ceilings, spanish tile floors and plenty of space to relax. The lodge and every cabin have spectacular views of the pool and ocean.
Additional activities:
For our non-fishing guests – or even a day off from fishing – we offer Horseback Riding, Kayaking, Zipline tours,White Water Rafting, Hiking, etc.
