When a guest fly fishes for Barramundi at these private ponds with us - we guarantee no-one has fished the pond during the previous week.

The Fishing:

Often known for its spectacular violent head shaking leaps from the water during a fight, the Barramundi justifiably commands respect from those who fly fish for the specie. Surprisingly, this, the gamest of all game fish is relatively unknown to many fly fishermen. Pound for pound the Barramundi will outrun, outstrip and outfight any salmonoid or Large Mouth Bass.

The Arowana is a surface feeder as indicated by it’s upward pointing mouth. The Arowana’s diet comprises fish, fry, small mammals, large spiders, large beetles and small birds. All of which are available to the Arowana in Thailand. Arowana prefer shallow and calm water where they are active during the day and can be spotted patrolling close to the surface, adjacent to the shore. The Arowana has a predilection for undercut banks and overhanging vegetation, trees and bushes.

Malevolent, aggressive, and ferocious are not exaggerated descriptions of the wrath and vehemence of the snakehead as it attacks the fly. It’s intent is to maim, kill and destroy. The Giant Snakehead attack is not on a par with pike, bass or barramundi – this predator is infuriated to a state of murderous intent.

The Accommodations:

We don’t run a hotel or a guest house. During your fly fishing vacation in Thailand we invite you to share our lodge which is located a short distance from Bangkok. Our lodge enjoys a cool and airy climate, providing the ideal base for a flyfishing vacation. Only 2 flyfishing guests stay at any one time, this allows us to keep our service highly personal and individualized.

Guests are not restricted to set menus. We provide food to individual tastes. Before guests arrive, we enquire about individual food preferences. We offer authentic Thai, Chinese and Western food. We also cater for Vegetarians and Diabetics. All food is fresh and Organic. All food is purchased daily, with a big emphasis on FRESH.

The time between returning from fishing and dinner can be spent enjoying an authentic Thai massage. Our highly experienced masseuse uses her remarkable skills to refresh and rejuvenate tired and aching limbs.
