The Fishing

Bristol Bay, the Katmai, Iliamna, all have special meaning to anglers around the world. This is southwest Alaska, famous for the rivers and streams that are home to huge rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling and many other species of freshwater game fish that surround our lodge.

Bristol Bay is also home to the largest natural salmon migration in the world. Each year millions of sockeye salmon join strong runs of four other Pacific Ocean salmon species in their incredible return to spawning rivers and streams. This means our guests catch unbelievable numbers of 8-12 lb. Sockeye salmon, huge silver salmon on the fly and giant king salmon tipping the scale at up to 50 lbs.

Our skilled pilots have more than 30 years of Alaskan fishing experience and have logged thousands of hours flying people into the remote regions of southwest and western Alaska. As our guests you may choose a different rainbow or salmon stream each and every day of your stay with us. To further assure that you get into the fish our lodge is equipped with 3-stol equipped floatplanes, over 20 jet boats and numerous rafts for fly out day fishing.

The Lodge

Bristol Bay Sport fishing is nestled on a private peninsula on the shore of majestic Lake Iliamna, the heart of Alaska's finest fishing region. Our Alaskan style great room provides a cozy atmosphere for guests to enjoy our spectacular lake and mountain views. Guests may also relax before the fireplace in our living room, or enjoy a game of pool in the recreation room while reminiscing about the day’s fishing – and planning for tomorrow.

Bristol Bay Sport fishing offers many other amenities to provide you the ultimate in comfort during your wilderness fishing adventure. Comfortable lodge bedrooms and cedar-paneled guest cabins, all with individual bathrooms, provide privacy and rest after a long day of fishing.

We maintain a well-equipped fly-tying bench for anglers who wish to try their hand. If you wish, we’ll be pleased to demonstrate how to tie our favorite -- and most effective local fly patterns. The Wildlife and Scenery

Fishing may not be all that interests you in Alaska. Brown and grizzly bears are found on most streams, scooping up migrating salmon. Moose and caribou feed on the banks of the rivers and the open tundra. The scenery is spectacular and bird life is abundant. Bald Eagles, swans, geese ducks, shore birds, glaciers, volcanoes, ice fields, and tundra will all be on the horizon.
