Visit Sitka, Alaska, a fly fisherman’s paradise. Sitka is located on Baranof Island in southeast Alaska about 45 minutes by air from Juneau. You will fish for all five Pacific Salmon, Steelhead, coastal Cutthroat trout, Rainbow trout, Dolly Varden and even Rockfish on the fly.
We mainly fish in streams but do some fishing in the estuaries and off the rugged shoreline around kelp beds. Our guides are true Alaskans and live in Sitka year round because they love this magical place so much. Since we live here, we are familiar with the fishing grounds and can help you have a memorable day on the river any time of the year.
The highlight of fishing in and around Sitka is that there are very few people that fish the freshwater streams. During most trips you might be the only person fishing on the entire river!
In addition to the great fishing, the wildlife sightings are numerous, from flocks of bald eagles to coastal brown bears to breaching whales. Although, fly fishing is our specialty, we can mix it up and fish light conventional gear as well.
Many tour boats stop at Sitka. If you are on such a tour we will meet you at the pier and take you out to great fishing in minutes. We can even supply the gear. Our boats & gear are top notch. We can even set up Halibut fishing & Rock fishing for the adventurous few that want to try for them with conventional gear or fly gear. If you just want a great local tour of our great eco system we will be happy to take you on a memorable guided tour and show you parts of the Sitka area that very few people see.
