Coffee Creek Ranch - No. California
Coffee Creek Ranch - No. California

Coffee Creek Ranch is the perfect place for a family style fly fishing vacation. Our ranch is 367 acres surrounded by National Forest and the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area in Northern California and lies along Coffee Creek, an excellent fly fishing stream for native trout. Stockers can be found in the Trinity River, East Fork or in the Coffee Creek Pond. Experience fishing on the lake for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Catfish, Rainbow Trout, and Kokanee. Hike or take an all-day horse back ride to a wilderness lake for Brook Trout! Each day can be a different fishing experience. A wonderful place to take kids fishing!

The secluded rental cabins at Coffee Creek Ranch may look rustic from the outside, but the atmosphere inside is cozy. Each cabin has a theme based on its brand; Circle B, for example, is decorated with bears, bigfoot, and butterflies!

All sixteen cabins have tall pines and ceiling fans to help keep them cool. One ranch house room and one cabin are equipped for the handicapped. Coffee Creek Cabins have 1 or 2 bedrooms.

Most family cabins have wood-burning stoves where a view of the fire sets the mood for those "romantic weekend getaways" for couples. The best part is that all your meals and treats are cooked for you. No groceries to bring or dishes to clean. Just show up and enjoy home cooked food. Most guests consider the food the best part of the trip.

In our large, modern kitchen professional chefs prepare nutritious meals laden with fresh fruits and vegetables. Only the choicest, leanest beef is served alongside home-baked breads. These fresh baked breads are our specialty at the ranch and are prepared from old family recipes!

Our weekly Steak Fry is worth waiting for! You will also enjoy our pool-side barbeques, Mexican buffet, Italian buffet and salad bar. For the more adventuresome, escape on a breakfast or afternoon picnic ride to enjoy a cowboy breakfast or lunch on the trail.

Pack Trips & Horseback Riding:

Coffee Creek Ranch offers a variety of horse back riding activities from the 2 hour ride to Wilderness Pack Trips high in the mountains. The Trinity Alps Wilderness Area is over 517,000 acres of old growth forest, granite peaks and 130 lakes, named for the miners, ranchers, and wildlife that frequented each area in earlier times.

The lakes that we pack into on a regular basis are Conway, Lion, Foster, Union, Sugar Pine, Stoddard, and Doe Lakes and offer great fishing opportunities. With the exception of Stoddard and Union, the lakes mentioned above have little use and are very quiet and secluded. All lakes are located within the wilderness area and do require permits. Permits can be obtained through the ranch for your convenience.

Area Attractions:

Museums, Gold Mines, Joss House (State Park), Historical Weaverville, Hodges Cabin, Trinity Alps Wilderness Area, Trinity Lake (Boating & Fishing), Alpen Cellars Winery, Bowerman Barn & National Scenic Byway (Hwy 3 & Hwy 299)

Other Activities:

Roping lessons, Hiking, Pool Tournament, Rifle instruction, Trapshooting, Orienteering, gold panning & horse back lessons. Lots of things to do for ages 6-80.
